U.S. U-17 MNT Opens Tournament with Win against Japan
Andrija Novakovich and Rubio Rubin each scored a goal in the U.S. U-17 Men's National Team's comeback win against Japan to kick off the Niigata International Tournament with a win.

NIIGATA, Japan (July 13, 2013) – The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team started off on the right foot with a 2-1 comeback win against host Japan to open the Niigata International Tournament in Niigata, Japan.
Japan’s Wataru Noguchi scored late in the first half to give the home team the lead heading into halftime, but Andrija Novakovich opened his scoring account with the equalizer in the 50th minute. Rubio Rubin added the game winner in the 83rd minute.
The U.S. next faces Croatia on Saturday, July 14.
