Carli, Heather, Amy and Rachel look pretty chipper despite the long trip to Sweden
The U.S. Women's National Team has arrived in Sweden in preparation for a 10-day training camp leading into matches against Sweden on June 16 and Japan on June 18, both in Halmstad, Sweden, about 90 miles south of Gothenburg, where the USA will set up its training base.
U.S. head coach Pia Sundhage -- who knows Gothenburg well after spending many years of her club career playing in this beautiful city -- has brought the 18-player Olympic Team along with the four named alternates.
The U.S. team had a short training in the late afternoon (and it doesn't get dark in the summer in Sweden until very late) just to stretch their legs after the long journey. The squad will hit the training field a bit harder tomorrow afternoon for its first full training as the 2012 Olympic Team.
