WNT Jan 16, 2011
In order to keep the team moving and awake as the players try to adjust to China time as soon as possible, the squad took a walk today around a local market/mall. Not many purchases were made, but the players had a good time (as always) experiencing the unique phenomenon that is Chinese commerce. Defender Brittany Taylor (above left) did buy a pair of slippers for her boyfriend (whoops, we hope that's not a surprise), but most players kept their yuan in their pockets.
One good thing about traveling with a baby on the U.S. WNT is that you've got 22 baby-sitters. Here, Alex Morgan and Lori Lindsey do the honors as Reece Rampone's mom changes some money.
If the U.S. team was looking to do some shopping on the street (they were not), there is a vast and varied amount of food available, including fruits and veggies (above), a surprisingly eclectic selection of roasted nuts (below) and even cotton candy!
