Virtually every time the U.S. team plays a World Cup Qualifier in Central America or the Caribbean, you can pencil in Miami as the destination for training camp. So what makes this city so attractive as a venue? Three main reasons:
- Location - For players coming from abroad, direct flights from the major European cities are available. On the way south, it's the major hub for destinations in the region and makes for shorter travel days.
- Facitilies - There are great fields and plenty of excellent facilities willing to host the National Team.
- Weather -The climate most resembles the conditions the team will face on the road, which is generally heat and humidity.
