Despite not being eligible to work the semi-finals due to USA's participation, American referee Kari Seitz has been held over by FIFA for the last four matches of the tournament, solidifying her place as one of the top female officials in the world.
Seitz may or may not work the final or third place match, but to make the last stage of the WWC is of course an honor for her and U.S. Soccer.
She is of course not eligible to referee any match the USA would participate in.
ussoccer.com talked to Kari before the USA's match against Japan in Columbus, Ohio, to get her thoughts on making the list of officials for the World Cup and her preparation for the biggest women's soccer tournament in the world.
