The U.S. Men’s National Team dropped two spots to 29th place in the FIFA World Rankings, which were updated Wednesday. The USA has been idle since its 1-0 victory against Italy on Feb. 29.
Spain continues to hold the top spot, followed by Germany and Uruguay. Among the USA’s opponents this year, Italy dropped three spots to 12th place, Venezuela rose three positions to 43rd and Panama dropped two spots to 52nd place.
The U.S. has opened the year with three 1-0 victories and is in the midst of a four-game winning streak dating back to last November’s 3-2 win against Slovenia.
Next up is a May 26 match against Scotland (8 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network) at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. The U.S. Men then take on Brazil (8 p.m. ET, ESPN2, ESPN3, Univision) at FedExField in Landover, Md.
FIFA’s World Rankings will be updated on May 9.
