This is an "out-the-door" blog post as the USA's work in Florida is done. The team will depart for its relatively short flight to Honduras in just a few minutes, and everyone knows what awaits in San Pedro Sula. A Honduran media outlet had the U.S. team arriving yesterday to avoid the media, but we can tell you that the U.S. team is still in Florida as of this posting. (And really, can you ever avoid the media?). It was a short but crisp training session this morning that featured a warm-up, some scrimmaging and some sharp finishing, and the U.S. team is ready to embark on this latest challenge. No doubt the U.S. team is heading to a country that will be whipped into a frenzy by the opportunity to qualify for its first World Cup in years, as well as a chance to get some relief, if only for a day, from the political turmoil that has gripped the country. And with that, and a few pics from training, we're off to Central America. We shall talk to you from Honduras...
