The Houston Dynamo U-17/18 and FC Dallas U-17/18 Development Academy teams will face the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team in May.
The Dynamo takes on the U-17s at 7:30 p.m. local (8:30 p.m. ET) on Thursday, May 10, at the newly built BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston. Then the U.S. U-17 squad faces FC Dallas’ Academy team on Saturday, May 12, at Houston Amateur Sports Park (10 a.m. local, 11 a.m. ET).
The Houston Dynamo MLS team is opening its state-of-the-art BBVA Compass Stadium on May 12 against D.C. United (4:30 p.m. ET, NBC Sports).
“To have the chance to be a part of the stadium opening in Houston will be a unique experience for the players,” U-17 head coach Richie Williams said of the May 10 match. “The atmosphere and excitement around the event will add a different element to the opportunity of playing against a good opponent, and we’re thrilled to be invited.”
