U-17 MNT Earn Two Hard-Fought Wins Over Sockers FC


U-17 MNT EARN TWO HARD-FOUGHT WINS OVER SOCKERS: In the third game of their nine-game Development Academy Exhibition Tour, the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team’s split squad each picked up a win over the Chicago Sockers U-15/16 and U-17/18 teams. The younger group defeated the Sockers 5-1 with a brace from Soony Saad, and one goal each from Stefan Jerome, Charles Renken and Dustin Corea. In a tightly contested affair, the U.S. defeated the U-17/18 Sockers 1-0 on a late penalty kick conversion from Jack McInerney. The U.S. U-17 MNT next travels to Richmond, Va., where they will face the Richmond Strikers on Saturday, Oct. 11.
