44 Players Named to U.S. U-15 Boys’ National Team Domestic Training Camp


CHICAGO (July 24, 2013) – Members of the U-15 Boys’ National Team will convene at the U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center in Carson, Calif. for the last training camp before players born in 1998 are eligible for the U-17 age group.

The squad will take part in Copa de Mexico de Naciones beginning on Aug. 7 and running through Aug. 19 in Mexico City.

The camp is headed by U-17 Men’s National Team Head Coach Richie Williams.

Williams will also use the camp to scout the next crop of players vying for a spot on the U-17 roster for the next FIFA U-17 World Cup cycle.

Of the 44 players in attendance, 27 are currently members of Development Academy teams.

Additional Notes:  

  • Forward Christian Pulisic (PA Classics) was named to the U-15/16 East Conference Starting XI for the 2012-13 Development Academy regular season.
  • Midfielder Christian Albelo is the only player from outside the U.S., residing in Heidelberg, Germany, and playing for Hoffenheim.
  • Joe Gallardo was previously a member of Nomads SC before moving to Monterey of Liga MX.
  • The roster includes 26 players returning to camp after taking part in the weeklong training camp in March.
