MLS Draft Trivia

Think you know your U.S. Soccer trivia? Well...try us. We’ll see how far back your knowledge of Team USA and U.S. Soccer extends. And who the heck is Jack Marshall? Even the trivia buffs in the U.S. Soccer Communications Department would be hard pressed to tell you that one Jack Marshall received his one and only cap way back in 1926. Okay, that was pretty much impossible. They get easier. We give you four questions each month, 1 to 4, easy to hard.

Answer #1 correctly, and you obviously skipped ahead to question #2. Shame on you.
Answer #2 correctly, and you’re either this player’s agent or one of the team’s PR Directors.
Answer #3 correctly, and you’re Galaxy head coach Sigi Schmid.
If you answered #4 correctly, you should probably broaden your leisure reading selection beyond MLS Media Guides.

With the MLS SuperDraft 2002 approaching on Feb. 10 just a week after the equally hyped Super Bowl (sarcasm, folks), what better way to prepare than to revisit MLS Drafts from the past?

Questions:

Q1 (Difficulty level 1 of 4): When was the first MLS Draft of any kind?
Q2 (2 of 4): Who was the first pick in the Inaugural MLS Draft prior to the 1996 season?
Q3 (3 of 4): In the 2000 MLS SuperDraft, the L.A. Galaxy had three of the first 23 selections and used them to select which three 2000 Olympians?
Q4 (4 of 4): What four Nike Project-40 players went in the first round of the 2001 MLS SuperDraft?
