U-14 BNT Split Squad Earns Two Wins Against Local Youth Teams

GUADALAJARA, Mexico (Jan. 20, 2009) -- The U.S. Under-14 Boy's National Team split squads each earned victories over local youth sides during their eight-day training camp in Guadalajara, Mexico. Both teams played 70 minute games (35 minute halves).

In the first game of the day against Chivas de Guadalajara, James Nosack led the U.S. Blue Team with a 17th minute goal that would hold up as the only goal of the game. Tanner Eggers and Santiago Castano each played a half in goal to share the shutout and the victory.

The U.S. White Team took on Chivas de San Rafael and came away with a 4-0 win behind four different goal scorers. Paul Arriola opened the scoring in the 15th minute and contributed an assist to Michael Hinkson's goal in the 22nd. Kevin Labastida successfully converted a penalty kick early in the second half and Zachary Pfeffer rounded out the scoring minutes later.
