U.S. Soccer Supporters Club Adds New Membership Levels and Benefits

CHICAGO (Dec. 5, 2013) – The U.S. Soccer Supporters Club is adding new membership levels and benefits to improve and increase opportunities for fans to receive exclusive access to the U.S. National Teams.

Founded in 2009, the U.S. Soccer Supporters Club has provided thousands of fans with unrivaled benefits such as priority ticketing, field-level access for public training events, and exclusive club scarves.

With the updated program, Members now have an even greater range of benefits across various donation levels that include exclusive apparel, no-fee ticketing, and private teleconferences with U.S. Soccer leadership.

Along with ensuring Supporters Club Members have the absolute best access to U.S. Soccer and the National Teams, Members will also help build the future of the game in the United States. U.S. Soccer is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit, and member dues will be used to enable U.S. Soccer to build three critical development programs:

Elite Youth Player Scholarships
U.S. Soccer is committed to fielding and fostering the best youth players in America, and great talent comes from all areas, all backgrounds and all socioeconomic levels. In 2007, U.S. Soccer established the Development Academy: 80 elite youth soccer clubs throughout the country, dedicated to high-level competition and quality training during a challenging 10-month season.

But 10 months of training, travel, equipment and time can be an expensive burden on families. The Scholarship Program ensures that our nation’s most gifted players are not held back by financial barriers.

Youth National Team Programming
Youth National Team camps bring the best players – girls and boys – from all corners of the country for crucial high-performance training and evaluation. National Team coaches at all levels have to maximize their limited time with players by implementing the most innovative technology and training methods.

Each team has a strategic plan, comprised of elite training and competition, designed to enable coaches to identify the best players and field the best team for international competition. It takes time, careful preparation and financial resources to ensure U.S. National Teams can compete successfully on the international stage.

Coaching Education
In order to have elite players, we must first have elite coaches. At every level, we need coaches who can teach age-appropriate technical and tactical skill development. To ensure we always have world-class coaches, U.S. Soccer is building more training and development programs for the next generation of top coaching instructors.

The U.S. Soccer Supporters Club is the official membership for fans of the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams. Members receive a package of benefits available exclusively from U.S. Soccer, and joining the Supporters Club is the only way to gain such access to the U.S. National Teams.

The Supporters Club options are broken down into four Club opportunities (Stripe Club, Star Club, Crest Club and Anthem Club) and three Circle packages (Captain’s Circle, Coach’s Circle and Centennial Circle). Benefits range from public team training access, to U.S. Soccer gifts and apparel, to match day luncheons for Circle Supporters and much more.
