Auction Underway for Autographed, Game-Worn U.S. Men's National Team Jerseys to Benefit the Victim Relief Fund of the One Fund Boston

CHICAGO (June 14, 2013) – The U.S. Men’s National Team’s autographed game-worn jerseys and pre-game training tops from the Centennial Celebration Match against Germany are now available via an online auction with all proceeds going to benefit The Victim Relief Fund of the One Fund Boston charity.

The MNT honored the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings during the Centennial Celebration Match on June 2 by wearing the Boston Strong logo printed on the sleeve of the jerseys. The players’ training tops that were worn pre-game and included the One Fund logo are also available in the auction.

With the support of the US National Soccer Team Players Association, auctions for the 21 game-worn and signed MNT jerseys and accompanying pre-game training tops from the Germany game are underway at the U.S. Soccer Federation’s eBay page. Each auction lasts ten days, concluding on the afternoon of June 22, with the bidding opening at $125 for the jerseys, while the pre-game training tops have a starting price of $100 each.

The Women’s National Team players will don the same Boston Strong patch on their jerseys when they take on Korea Republic at Gillette Stadium on June 15 in Foxboro, Mass. The auction, which will be conducted with the supported of the Women’s National Team Players’ Association, will open during the week of June 17 and also last 10 days.

The One Fund Boston was created following the tragic events at the Boston Marathon on April 15 and related events on April 18 and 19. The nearly $46 million raised for The Victim Relief Fund helps the families of the victims and the victims of the heartbreaking events.
