U-17 '90 MNT Defeat All Boys 3-1

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (March 31, 2006) - The U.S. Under-17 '90 Men's National Team got two goals from Brandon Tarr to defeat All Boys, 3-1, in their final match of the Copa Esperanzas Corea 2007 Tournament this afternoon in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With the victory, the U.S. ends up in fifth place with a 1-1-1 record.

The U.S. encountered two setbacks early in the match as All Boys was able to score in the 20th minute and then starting goalkeeper Josh Lambo suffered a bloody nose and had to be replaced by Chris Miller in the 24th minute.

The U.S. bounced back in the 33rd minute when Tarr registered his first goal of the day. Ian Kalis dribbled the ball down the left flank and crossed the ball into the box where Tarr was able to finish high into the net for the equalizer.

Eight minutes after the break, Tarr put the U.S. up for good when he collected another cross, this one from Matt Uy, and again found the back of the net.

Jesse Paredes put the game out of reach for All Boys when he tallied off a pass from Brek Shea in the 62nd minute.

The championship and third place matches will be played on Saturday, April 1. Australia takes on Argentina, while Armenio takes on C.A.I.
