U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team Falls to Mexico, Set for Semifinal Match against U. Catolica


SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (June 27, 2012) – The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team fell to Mexico 3-0 in the teams’ final group match at the Copa Saprissa Internacional.

The U.S. next faces U. Catolica of Chile on Friday in the semifinals of the tournament.

Mexico opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a goal from Alejandro Diaz. Luis Hernandez tallied the second in the 41st and Diaz added the final goal in the 47th.
