U.S. U-17 '90 MNT Falls to U-17 Arsenal, 2-1

BRADENTON, Fla. (December 3, 2005) – The U.S. Under-17 ’90 MNT fell to U-17 Arsenal SC on Saturday, December 3 by a 2-1 margin on the third day of the 2005 Nike Friendlies.

Both goals by Arsenal were scored by former Residency attendees Ryan Peterman and Hector Jiminez. Peterman put Arsenal on the board in the 30th minute with a flick on header after his well-timed run through the U.S. back line. In the 68th minute, Jimenez found space from distance and hit a rocket inside the right post.

Brandon Tarr, who had a first half effort saved after being sprung free in the area, got the U.S. goal in the 74th minute. Axel Levry, who was dangerous on the right wing for the U.S., dribbled inside before putting Tarr in again. This time the striker calmly slotted the ball past the keeper from 12 yards out.

The U.S. U-17 ’90 MNT close out the 2005 Nike Friendlies on Sunday, December 4 vs. FC Delco at 2 p.m. ET.
