CHICAGO (May 6, 2013) – The U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team will come together for a training camp from May 11-18 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.
U.S. head coach Randy Waldrum has named 24 players to the camp which features 22 current collegiate players, one former collegian in Jennifer Hoy, who finished her career at Princeton and was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars, and one professional in goalkeeper Libby Stout who is currently playing for Yzeure in France.
The roster features seven players from the U.S. team that won the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan.
The camp marks the second of three domestic events for the U.S. U-23 WNT this year as the squad will also come together in December with a roster that could feature more professional players.
