U.S. U-17 MNT Wins International Tournament in Japan


NIIGATA, Japan (July 15, 2013) – The U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team defeated the Niigata All-Stars 2-0 to win the International Tournament in Niigata, Japan.

Andrija Novakovich scored in his third straight match to put the U.S. ahead 1-0 in the 60th minute. Rubio Rubin added a second in the 80th minute and the U.S. took home the tournament title with three straight victories.

The U.S. U-17 MNT kicked off the tournament with a 2-1 win against Japan and followed up with a 4-2 win against Croatia.
