Injured Flores to Miss Mexico Game


CHICAGO (July 9, 2008) -- U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team forward Jorge Flores has sustained an ankle injury at training with Chivas USA, and will be unavailable for the USA game against Mexico on Friday, July 11 in Laredo, Texas.

The 18-year-old striker is among team leaders with three international caps so far in 2008. U.S. head coach Thomas Rongen will not name a replacement to the squad, which arrives in Laredo today for Friday evening's match.

The U.S. battles Mexico at 8 p.m. CT on Friday. Tickets are available for the match at Texas A&M International University Soccer Complex, home of the Laredo Heat. Fans can also follow along on ussoccer.com's Match Tracker.
