Geoff Cameron ruled out of U.S. MNT Camp

No Replacement Added; NBC Sports Network and UniMas will Broadcast Live at 2:15 p.m. ET

CHICAGO (Aug. 31, 2014) – U.S. Men’s National Team defender Geoff Cameron has been ruled out of the training camp ahead of the friendly against the Czech Republic and will not travel to Prague. Further consultations with the Stoke City medical staff confirmed that Cameron’s injury – suffered in the 37th minute of the match against Portsmouth on Aug. 27 – would prevent him from participating in the game.

No replacement will be added to the U.S. roster, meaning 21 players will train in Prague in advance of Wednesday’s match.

Kickoff for the first meeting between the teams on Czech soil is set for 2:15 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network and UniMas. Fans can also follow on Twitter @ussoccer.
