CHICAGO (Sept. 1, 2014) – U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team head coach Tab Ramos has brought in Columbus Crew midfielder Romain Gall and Chivas de Guadalajara defender Luis Martir for the USA’s international camp in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Tommy Thompson and Orlando City defender Tyler Turner, who were originally to join the U-20s, have stayed with their club teams. Thompson is staying with his MLS side purely for club duties, while Turner is unavailable because of a quad injury.
In addition to the roster changes, the U-20 MNT has scheduled two more matches in its itinerary. On Thursday, Sept. 4, the USA will face Racing Club Reserves, and on Saturday, Sept. 6, the U.S. takes on the Defensa y Justicia Reserves.
The USA caps off its 10-day trip to Buenos Aires with a Sept. 9 game against Argentina’s U-20s.
Gall rejoins the U-20s after playing in all three games during the USA’s championship run at the 2014 National Training Center Invitational in mid-July. Martir earns his first call-up with the U-20s.
