Thousands of Fans Gather in Lincoln Park to Support WNT

While more than 50,000 packed Olympic Stadium on Tuesday night in Montreal, back at home, thousands of USA supporters came together at Fan HQ in Chicago's Lincoln Park to watch the #USWNT's 2-0 victory against Germany in the semifinals of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.  The event included various fan-focused activities with opportunities to purchase U.S. Soccer merchandise and food and beverages.  Supporters were able to catch FOX's live feed of the match on a giant 19-by-33 foot, high-definition screen.  Even Teddy Goalsevelt, made famous during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, made an appearance to help cheer the WNT to victory!


Fan HQ will return to Lincoln Park when the WNT vies for its third Women’s World Cup title on Sunday, July 5.  The U.S. will take on the winner of the other Semifinal match between Japan and England, which will be determined tonight.  Sunday's festivities will begin at 3 p.m. CT near the intersection of Stockton Drive and LaSalle Drive, just south of the Lincoln Park Zoo. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. The tournament Final will also be broadcast live on FOX and Telemundo.
