U.S. U-20 Women’s Youth National Team Defeats Canada, 3-1, to Finish Training Camp in Germany

Taylor Suarez, Jordynn Dudley and Shae O’Rourke Score for the USA

VERL, Germany (April 7, 2024) – The U.S. Under-20 Women’s Youth National Team defeated Canada, 3-1, in the second of two matches during a training camp in Germany. The USA drew 0-0 with the hosts on April 5.

It took the USA 17 minutes to get on the board, but once it did so, the young Americans added a second within two minutes. Forward Taylor Suarez made it 1-0 and Jordynn Dudley, who scored 14 goals with nine assists as a freshman at Florida State last season, scored in the 19th minute.

Canada pulled one back in the 34th, but the USA’s response was stellar, restoring the two-goal lead a minute later through Shae O’Rourke. The goal was her first at the U-20 level in her first U-20 cap.

The U.S. U-20 WYNT is unbeaten this year at 3-0-1 as it continues preparation for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
