L.A. Captures 2005 Open Cup
CARSON, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2005) – The L.A. Galaxy, playing in front of their home crowd at The Home Depot Center, clinched the 2005 U.S. Open Cup with a 1-0 win over FC Dallas. Herculez Gomez provided the game's lone goal in the 25th minute to secure the Galaxy's second Open Cup title in five years
