Under-20s: In 2012, Garcia scored two goals in four appearances, earning three starts. Garcia opened 2013 with two appearances against Panama in preparation for the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, posting an assist.
Garcia is coming off his first campaign for North Carolina in 2012 where he was named ACC Freshman of the Year. He started in 16 of 18 games, was second on the team in points with four goals and six assists, and he tallied two game-winning goals, including the lone goal to lead UNC to a 1-0 win against Duke and advance to the semifinals of the ACC Championship.
