Under-20s: Prior to the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup, Garcia tied for second on the team with 11 appearences in 2013, earning seven starts and logging 670 minutes. Garciia scored a goal directly off a corner kick during the U-20 MNT's 2-1 loss to Columbia's U-21 squad at the 2013 Toulon Tournament on May 30 in Nimes, France. Garcia opened 2013 with two appearances against Panama in preparation for the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, posting an assist. he was a regular contributor during World Cup qualifying and earned a spot on the U-20 MNT's 21-player roster for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey. In 2012, Garcia scored two goals in four appearances, earning three starts. Garcia opened 2013 with two appearances against Panama in preparation for the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship, posting an assist.
College: Garcia is coming off his first campaign for North Carolina in 2012 where he was named ACC Freshman of the Year. He started in 16 of 18 games, was second on the team in points with four goals and six assists, and he tallied two game-winning goals, including the lone goal to lead UNC to a 1-0 win against Duke and advance to the semifinals of the ACC Championship.
Club: Garcia was a member of the FC Dallas Academy system and helped the U-17/18 team win the 2011-12 U.S. Soccer Development Academy title with an assist on the game-winning goal against teh Vancouver Whitecaps. Garcia led that team with 18 goals in 23 regular-season games. He was also a member of the 2010-11 FC Dallas Academy team that was the runner-up to Pateadores.
