LePeilbet missed several years from the national team picture, but she has been one of the USA's best and most consistent defenders since recovering from a torn ACL in 2006. She started in 11 of 12 games played for the U.S. in 2011, with six starts in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany, playing all but 67 minutes in the event.
