The Copa America Centenario Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has opened the initial phase of the media accreditation process for the 2016 Copa America Centenario. Media members can apply for a tournament media credential by visiting this link and filling out the application in its entirety. Please note that this initial application consists of a screening process to identify media that will be accredited for the overall tournament, but an accreditation alone does not provide media members with access for any specific match. Media approved during this accreditation process will be able to apply for single-game accreditation, which will be conducted via the Copa America Centenario Media Channel in the weeks leading up to the tournament.
Applications during this process will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with priority given to those who apply early as there are a limited number of credentials available. The final deadline to apply for tournament accreditation is Friday, May 13 at 8 p.m. ET. Applications will not be accepted after this deadline.
Approved applicants will receive an email notification when a decision is made, by Monday, May 23 the latest. Please do not contact the Copa America Local Organizing Committee, U.S. Soccer, CONCACAF or CONMEBOL requesting information on individual applications before this time, as such requests will not be answered. Please note that the accredidation process is being handled by the Copa America Centenario Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and not U.S. Soccer.
Media whose applications are accepted will be invited to create an account on the Copa America Centenario Media Channel, where they will be able to request specific match accreditation and access to press conferences and mixed zones. The media channel will be active in coming weeks; notifications and instructions to set up an account will be sent exclusively to accredited media.
Should media members have further questions, they may contact email@example.com.
