Disability Soccer Organizations

Disability soccer plays an important role in the broader soccer community. We are committed to investing in its continued progress and growth across all levels. U.S. Soccer is creating safe and inclusive environments for participants to thrive, from grassroots to our National Teams – every person matters in our ecosystem.
Increased awareness: We have supported Disability Soccer Month and created resources to increase awareness, especially among new participants through the Soccer Forward Keeping Score of What Matters campaign. During 2025, the Disability Soccer Committee(DSC) had its largest and most impactful Disability Soccer Month to date that featured:
Moreover, the DSC hosts inspiring events throughout the year independent of Disability Soccer Month. For example, during the USWNT match on June 26 in Denver, 11 young girls with disabilities, supported by TOPSoccer, Special Olympics and others, served as player honorees walking onto the field with the team. Outside the stadium, the Committee engaged fans with resources on Disability Soccer Organizations (DSOs) and a popular blind soccer demo, where 100+ kids experienced the sport.
Meaningful collaboration: Our expanding Adapt and Thrive program connects ENTs with grassroots DSOs to foster mentorship and build leadership skills – an important element of our U.S. Way strategy. As our DSO community grows, we’re also equipping them with resources like a grant funding guide featuring templates, testimonials, and case studies to help unlock new opportunities to help people with disabilities participate at all levels.
Best practices: Through Soccer Forward and in partnership with the DSO community, we are developing best practices and resources to enhance the playing experience and long-term development of athletes with disabilities. This fall we launched a key set of resources – 101 guides which introduce various forms of disability soccer, providing background, rules, pathways, and tips to support the inclusion and growth of these forms of disability soccer. They are written for players, families, coaches, referees, and administrators seeking to better understand and support athletes in various disability soccer disciplines. Our 101 guides cover every pathway and discipline available in the U.S.:
