U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Michael Bradley and defender Jonathan Spector will be inducted into the inaugural Sockers FC Chicago Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 16. Both MNT players will be in attendance at the Sockers Youth Foundation 25th Anniversary Gala.
The Jonathan Spector Scholarship, in partnership with the Sockers Youth Foundation, will also be awarded during the gala.
Sockers FC is based in Palatine, Ill., where Bradley resided during his youth playing days. Spector is a native of Arlington Heights, Ill.
Sockers FC fields U-15/16 and U-17/18 teams in the Development Academy, and the U-17/18 team enters the final weekend of the regular season in good position for a wild card spot in the 2011-12 Development Academy Playoffs from June 25-29 in Frisco, Texas.
