Starting Lineup:

  • With starting goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher ruled out again today with a minor shoulder injury, Ashlyn Harris makes her first start of 2019. It will be the 20th cap for the veteran U.S. WNT goalkeeper.
  • Kelley O’Hara makes her third appearance of 2019. She did not play in either of the January matches vs. France and Spain as she was still recovering from ankle surgery. She will earn her 115th cap tonight. She played 45 minutes against Japan on Feb. 27 and 60 minutes vs. England on March 2 – both were planned substitutions.
  • Abby Dahlkemper will earn her 35th cap tonight in what will be her fifth consecutive start of 2019. She’s played all 90 minutes in all games so far this year.
  • Becky Sauerbrunn will earn cap No. 153 tonight. She sat out the match against Japan on Feb. 27 with some mild knee irritation and came off the bench against England on March 2 to play the final 30 minutes. It will be her fourth appearance and third start of the year.
  • Crystal Dunn will earn her 80th WNT cap tonight and makes her fifth consecutive start of 2019.
  • Julie Ertz makes her 77th international appearance. She has scored 18 career goals and will make her fourth and start of 2019.
  • Mallory Pugh will earn her 48th cap of her WNT career. It will be her fifth appearance and fourth start. She scored the USA goal vs. France on Jan. 19 in Le Havre. She has 13 career goals.
  • Samantha Mewis makes her first start of 2019 and first since Oct. 7, 2018. It will be her 45th WNT cap. She has scored eight career goals.
  • Tobin Heath will earn her 146th international appearance for the USA. Tonight, will mark her fourth appearance and start of the year. She scored vs. England on March 2 and has now scored 26 goals in her career.
  • Alex Morgan scored 18 goals in 2018 and now has 99 career goals. At age 29, she sits in sole possession of seventh place on the USA's all-time goal list. Morgan has scored 26 goals over her last 30 WNT matches, a span that runs from the end of 2017. The 26 goals have included six braces and one hat trick. Morgan will earn cap No. 158 and is 18th all-time in caps. She will captain the U.S. tonight.
  • Megan Rapinoe will earn cap No. 149 for the U.S WNT. She was the team-leader in assists last year, earning 12 in 2018. She scored her 43rd career goal vs. England on March 2, her second of 2019 after also scoring vs. Japan on Feb. 27.
  • Since the 2017 SheBelieves Cup, the USA has failed to score in just one game (vs. Australia at the 2017 ToN). That’s a 36-game span.
