Christian Cappis and Jordan Siebatcheu Added to USMNT Training Camp Roster for Matches Against Jamaica and Northern Ireland

CHICAGO (March 19, 2020) – U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Gregg Berhalter has added midfielder Christian Cappis and forward Jordan Siebatcheu to the training camp roster ahead of the matches against Jamaica and Northern Ireland.

Meantime, midfielder Tyler Adams along with forwards Nicholas Gioacchini and Tim Weah have been withdrawn from the roster due to quarantine requirements in their respective areas.

To address the unique situation worldwide related to the global pandemic, the FIFA Council has enacted temporary rules that exempt clubs from releasing players for international duty should they be required to observe a minimum of five days in quarantine upon their return.

The 21-year-old Cappis plays for Hobro IK in the Danish Superligaen and joins the USMNT for second time, having been a part of the 2020 January Camp. Jordan Siebatcheu, 24, is appearing in his first camp with the United States National Teams at any age level. On loan to Young Boys, he has scored nine goals in his last 13 appearances for the Swiss Super League side.

The roster now consists of 25 players as the USA prepares to gather in Austria ahead of the match against Jamaica on March 25 at Stadion Wiener Neustadt in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. Kickoff in the rematch of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup Semifinal is set for 1 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN2, UniMás and TUDN.

Three days later, the U.S. meets Northern Ireland for the first time in more than 70 years. The National Football Stadium at Windsor Park in Belfast hosts the contest, set for 12 p.m. ET with coverage on FOX, UniMás and TUDN.

Fans will also be able to follow via Twitter @USMNT, Instagram @USMNT, Facebook, and the official U.S. Soccer App.
