  • With an average age of 23 years, 314 days, tonight’s Starting XI is the youngest deployed by the USMNT in a tournament final, besting the previous mark of 24 years, 207 days from the 2021 Concacaf Nations League Final victory against Mexico. The Starting XI is also the second youngest in a Knockout Round match, coming in behind the lineup that began the Gold Cup quarterfinal against Jamaica on July 25, 2021 (23 years, 280 days).
  • The lineup also averages 26 caps and 17 in official competition.
  • B.J. Callaghan makes three changes to the squad that started Thursday’s semifinal against Mexico, inserting defenders Joe Scally and Walker Zimmerman along with attacker Brenden Aaronson.

  • Yunus Musah, Gio Reyna and Joe Scally become the first trio of 20-year-olds to start a final for the USMNT.

  • Already the youngest USMNT player to appear and score in a final during the 2021 CNL Championship match, Gio Reyna becomes the only player to appear in two finals before his 21st birthday.

  • Nine of the USMNT Starting XI are age 25 and younger: Antonee Robinson (25), Christian Pulisic (24), Chris Richards and Tim Weah (23), Brenden Aaronson (22), Folarin Balogun (21), Yunus Musah, Gio Reyna and Joe Scally (20).

  • Captaining the USMNT for the 16th time tonight, Christian Pulisic will make his third appearance in a final. Having appeared with Pulisic in the 2021 CNL Final, Gio Reyna and Tim Weah make their second appearances tonight, as does Matt Turner who manned the goal in the 2021 Gold Cup Final.

  • Chris Richards and Walker Zimmerman pair in central defense for the third time tonight. They previously partnered twice in World Cup qualifying -- the 1-1 draw at Jamaica on Nov. 16, 2021 in Kingston and 1-0 win against El Salvador on Jan. 27, 2022 in Columbus.

  • This is the USMNT’s fifth-straight appearance in a Concacaf Final: 2017, 2019, 2021 Gold Cup Finals and 2021 and 2023 Concacaf Nations League Finals.

  • Sergiño Dest and Weston McKennie are serving one-game suspensions tonight after receiving red cards in Thursday’s semifinal against Mexico.

  • GOLDEN BOOT WATCH: With four goals apiece, substitute striker Ricardo Pepi is tied with Canada’s Jonathan David for the 2022-23 Concacaf Nations League Golden Boot lead. David holds the tie-breaker over Pepi because he has also collected two assists. USMNT forward Christian Pulisic (3 goals, 2 assists) and Canada’s Cyle Larin (3 goals, 1 assist) and Alphonso Davies (3 goals) sit just behind David and Pepi heading into tonight’s final.

  • If the match is tied at the end of regular time, two 15-minutes halves of extra time will be played. Should the game still be tied, the match will be decided by penalty kicks.

  • Five substitutions are allowed in three different moments. Halftime does not count as a substitution moment. Should the game go to extra time, each team will be allowed an additional substitution.

  • Video assistant referee will be used for all four matches at the Concacaf Nations League Finals.

  • The USA holds a 16-10-12 advantage in the all-time series against Canada and is 9-8-5 against Les Rouges in competitive matches.
  • This is the first meeting between the USA and Canada in a tournament final and third overall knockout round match between the two countries. The previous two encounters came at the semifinal stage of the Gold Cup, with the USA defeating Canada on penalty kicks in 2002, before taking a 2-1 win in 2007.

  • Tonight’s match is the USMNT’s 15th final. The team is 6-6-2 overall in tournament finals, with the two draws counting as shootout wins (1991 and 2005 Gold Cups).

  • Said Martínez of Honduras is the referee for tonight’s match. The USMNT is 5-0-2 in matches officiated by Martínez, which includes the 1-0 extra time win against Mexico in the 2021 Gold Cup Final played at Allegiant Stadium.
