CHICAGO (Dec. 5, 2024) – U.S. Women’s Beach Soccer National Team head coach Morgan Church has selected her 10-player roster for the 2024 BSWW Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup in Acapulco, Mexico.

Winners of the 2023 edition, the U.S. Beach WNT will begin training in Acapulco on Monday, Dec. 9 in preparation to face Spain on Dec. 13 (6 p.m. ET), hosts Mexico on Dec. 14 (9 p.m. ET), and Costa Rica on Dec. 15 (6p.m. ET) at Arena GNP in Mexico’s southern coast. All matches will be broadcast live on beachsoccertv.com.

“Our team is thrilled to head back to Acapulco, especially after last year’s success,” Church said. “We’re coming off a strong camp and are ready to open the tournament against Spain. It’s been exciting to work with some fresh talent, and this week will be a fantastic opportunity for some of these players to gain valuable international experience. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to compete and perform wearing the crest in this incredible stadium.”

Eight of the 12 players that led the team to the triumph at the 2024 El Salvador Beach Soccer Cup in March return for the year-end camp, including goalkeeper Gabriella Batmani (San Jose, Calif.), defenders Makenzie Chronopoulos (Pasadena, Calif.), Jeané Sunseri-Warp (San Jose, Calif.) and Vanessa Valentine (San Diego, Calif), midfielders Nikki Haimes (Weston, Fla.) and Ali Hall (Chicago, Ill.), and forwards Hannah Adler (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Kilee Quigley (Salt Lake City, Utah).

The roster is rounded out by midfielders Malia Mariano (Norfolk, Va.) and Marissa Vasquez (Diamond Bar, Calif.). The two uncapped players took part in last month’s domestic training camp in Oceanside, Calif., and are now in line to earn their first international appearances this month.

The U.S. Beach WNT won the inaugural 2023 Acapulco Cup after defeating England, Mexico and Bahamas. Six players return from that team for the 2024 edition: Batmani, Chronopoulus, Sunseri-Warp, Hall, Adler and Quigley.
