U.S. Soccer is investing in the people, environments, and infrastructure needed to compete for and win major tournaments. With the momentum from the USMNT's historic World Cup campaign, U.S. Soccer signed a new contract with Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino, named Steve Cherundolo as the Head Coach of the U-23 MNT ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics, and the U-19 MNT qualified for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup. The USWNT is scheduling matches against world class opponents to prepare for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup, and the CPMNT will play in the 2026 IFCPF World Cup at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center. A historic integration with US Youth Soccer, and expanded initiatives such as the Talent Reporters Program, further invest in local soccer and will create better experiences and pathways to grow the game and develop players.

This summer proved that there are tens if not hundreds of millions of Americans who care about soccer in America. Over 50M people viewed the USMNT v. Belgium game, 2x as many as the NBA Finals and 3x the World Series. Over 66M viewed the World Cup final, the most-watched sporting event outside of Super Bowls since 1994. U.S. Soccer, our partners, and our members focused on making these people feel like a part of the action, so that they stay soccer fans for life. We intentionally built free to access platforms – like U.S. Soccer House and the World Cup roster reveal – and have designed our storytelling and experiences to deepen those connections over time.
