MNT to Face Peru on Sept. 4 at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

Match against Bronze Medalists from 2015 Copa America to be Broadcast Live on FOX Sports 1, UniMás and Univision Deportes Network
CHICAGO (July 8, 2015) – The U.S. Men’s National Team will face Peru on Friday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. ET at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. The match will be shown live on FOX Sports 1, UniMás, and Univision Deportes Network.

Tickets go on sale to the public Monday, July 13, at 10 a.m. ET through ussoccer.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and at all Ticketmaster ticket centers throughout the Washington-Baltimore-Northern Virginia area (including many Walmart locations). Tickets will not be sold at RFK Stadium except on the day of the event.

The U.S. and Peru last met on Feb. 16, 2000, in Miami. The USA prevailed by a 1-0 score line, improving its all-time record against the South American nation to 2-2-1.

At this summer’s Copa America, the Peruvians finished in third place after falling to tournament champion Chile 2-1 in the semifinal.

RFK will host the MNT for the 23rd time, the most of any venue in the world. In the previous 22 matches, the United States has posted a 14-3-5 record with an average attendance of 30,183 fans.

In the USA’s last match in the nation’s capital, the MNT defeated the world’s No. 2-ranked team Germany, 4-3, in front of 47,359 fans in the 2013 Centennial Celebration game in honor of U.S. Soccer’s 100-year anniversary.

The U.S. is coming off a 2-1 victory against Honduras to open the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The USA’s title defense continues July 10 when the team faces Haiti at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET, and the match will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1 and UniMás.
