CHICAGO (Dec. 28, 2018) – U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Gregg Berhalter has added New York City FC midfielder Jonathan Lewis to the 2019 January Camp roster. Lewis’ addition brings the training camp squad to 28 players.

The 21-year-old midfielder is one of eight players on the roster to earn their first call-up and one of 13 who are uncapped. Lewis has previously played for the U-20 MNT and was part of the U.S. squad that won the 2017 Concacaf U-20 Championship.

Players will report to the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., on Jan. 6. The U.S. opens the 2019 campaign against Panama on Jan. 27 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale Ariz. (8 p.m. ET; ESPN2, Univision Networks). The MNT continues preparation for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup one week later when they welcome regional rival Costa Rica to Avaya Stadium in San Jose, Calif. on Feb. 2 (3:30 p.m. ET; FOX, Univision Networks).

Fans can follow both matches on U.S. Soccer's official Facebook, Twitter (@ussoccer_MNT) and Instagram (@ussoccer_MNT) accounts.
