The Studio 90 crew had a bit of (rare) downtime today, so a few of our folks traveled to Melrose Arch, a very nice and large mall and residential complex in Johannesburg, to make a few of the now famous Makarapas, also known as those crazy helmet-type hats that you've seen the fans here in South Africa wearing at games. They have become part of the tradition for South African soccer fans and you can have some Makarapa artists make one for you, or you can make your own. Stayed tuned to Studio 90 in the next few days as the Makarapas might make an appearance.
