USMNT to Close Nations League Group Play Against Cuba in Cayman Islands

The U.S. Men’s National Team will find itself playing in a new destination when it closes out Concacaf Nations League group play against Cuba in November.

Originally set to face Los Leones del Caribe at Estadio Pedro Marrero on Tuesday, Nov. 19, the match will now take place at Truman Bodden Sports Complex in the Cayman Islands.

The move to a neutral site was deemed necessary while improvements are underway at Cuba’s national stadium. Located in George Town, Grand Cayman, Truman Bodden Sports Complex will also play host to Cuba’s first home Nations League match against Canada on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Earlier this week, U.S. Soccer announced that Audi Field in Washington, D.C. would host the USMNT’s inaugural Concacaf Nations League match – also against Cuba – on Friday, Oct. 11 (7 p.m. ET).

The sites for three of the USMNT’s four Nations League group stage matches have now been confirmed, with only the team’s second home fixture on Nov. 15 against Canada still to be announced.
