CHICAGO (Dec. 4, 2024) – U.S. Men’s Beach Soccer National Team head coach Ian Carry has selected a 10-player roster to take part in the 2024 BSWW Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup in Acapulco, Mexico.

Currently 14th in the BSWW World Rankings, the U.S. Beach MNT will begin training in Acapulco on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in preparation for No.5-ranked Spain on Friday, Dec. 13 (7:30 p.m. ET), face No. 15-ranked Colombia on Saturday, Dec. 14 (7:30 p.m. ET), before rounding out the tournament against hosts No. 21-ranked Mexico on Sunday, Dec. 15 (10:30 p.m. ET). All matches will be broadcast live for free on beachsoccerTV.com.

“The opportunity for this group of players to compete internationally for the first time under the guidance of a new staff and system is invaluable as we prepare for the upcoming Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship,” Carry said. “Even though we have quality leadership and experience within this travelling roster, we are still a young side. Games against Spain, currently ranked fifth in the world, Colombia and Mexico, will allow us to evaluate and build upon our identity.”

The roster features eight returnees from the squad that represented the USA at the 2024 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup earlier this year in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with goalkeeper Austin Collier, defender Antonio Chavez, midfielders Tanner Akol, Ricardo Carvalho and Cody Valcarcel, and forwards Andres Navas, Conner Rezende and Gabe Silveira all headed to camp in Acapulco.

Most immediately, the year-end camp will serve as important preparation for the 2025 Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship to be held March 11-16 in Nassau, Bahamas and which will serve as the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifiers. Winners of the 2023 Confederation Championship, the USA were drawn into Group B where it will face Trinidad and Tobago (March 11), host Bahamas (March 12) and Panama (March 13), before the semifinals and final on March 15 and March 16, respectively. The top two teams will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles.
