U.S. Men’s Beach Soccer National Team Head Coach Marcelo Mendes Names 17-Player Roster For September Training Camp
Beach MNT Will Reconvene for Domestic Training Camp from Sept. 22-27 at Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center

ATLANTA (Sept. 16, 2026) -- The U.S. Men’s Beach Soccer National Team returns to the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center for a domestic training camp from Sept. 22-27 with a 17-player roster named by head coach Marcelo Mendes.
This is the sixth time the U.S. Beach MNT will gather as a team in 2026, following two previous training camps and competitions that have included the International Paraiba Beach Games in Brazil in March, the BSWW Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup in April and “U.S. Soccer on the Beach” presented by Volkswagen Doubleheader against Trinidad and Tobago in Venice Beach this summer.
A total of 12 players on the September roster return from the last domestic training camp, including the 2025 winner of U.S. Soccer’s Male Beach Soccer Player of the Year award, Ricardo Carvalho (Milwaukee, Wis.).
Five local domestic beach soccer clubs are represented on this roster, including Cruzn Beach Soccer Club, which leads the roster with four players, along with CF Playa Miami and SoCal Legacy BSC with three players each. Beach Soccer Virginia Beach (BSVB) has two players on the roster and while Hollywood BSC has one. The Milwaukee Wave of the Major Arena Soccer League are represented on the roster with two players, as well.
Ronaldo Nava and Chris Waegelin get their first-time call-ups, as Mendes continues to evaluate the roster selection for next year’s Concacaf Beach Soccer Championship.
This camp reflects the Federation’s commitment to the U.S. Way, by investing in resources, infrastructure, and comprehensive support for its Extended National Teams – including the Beach Soccer National Teams – to ensure they are fully prepared to compete and succeed on the world stage.
