U.S. Under-19 Men's National Team Rallies Past Norway 4-3 on Kellan LeBlanc's 90th Minute Winner to Close Spain Camp
U.S. U-19 MNT Finishes Rob Valentino’s First Camp With 2W-1L-0D Record after Beating Wales 2-0 and Falling 2-1 to England

ATLANTA (Oct. 16, 2026) -- The U.S. Under-19 Men’s National Team closed its international training camp in Marbella, Spain, with a 2W-1L-0D record. In the final match, the U.S. came from behind twice to beat Norway 4-3 on a 90th minute goal from midfielder Kellan LeBlanc.
The camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
The camp ran from Sept. 24-Oct. 9 and was the team’s first under coach Rob Valentino, who previously led the U.S. U-20 MNT.
USA 2, Wales 0
The U.S. opened the window on Sept. 29 with a 2-0 win over Wales. The Americans outshot Wales 15-4 and held a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
Defender Brandon Dayes, one of three players back from the Concacaf U-20 Championship roster, opened the scoring in the 44th minute. The U.S. doubled its lead in the 48th minute on a Wales own goal. Goalkeepers Aidan Stokes and William Lodmell split the match and combined for a shutout.
England 2, USA 1
England scored in the first minute through Reigan Heskey and the U.S. answered in the eighth minute after midfielder Maximo Carrizo equalized. The match stayed level until the 60th minute, when Luca Williams-Barnett scored what proved to be the winner.
England played the final 17 minutes with 10 men after Max Dowman was sent off in the 73rd minute, but the U.S. couldn’t find an equalizer. The Americans outshot England 16-15, while England put eight shots on target to the U.S. team’s five.
USA 4, Norway 3
The U.S. trailed twice before the substitutes took over the camp finale and scored three goals to defeat Norway on Oct. 5 at Banús Football Center.
Igor Gosik gave Norway the lead in the ninth minute. Forward Chase Adams equalized in the 21st minute, but Harald Woxen put Norway back in front in the 40th minute to give Norway a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Valentino made three changes at halftime, including forward Theo Reed, who scored twice within six minutes of entering. Reed’s first goal came in the 46th minute to level the score and tallied again in the 51st to give the U.S. the lead. Phillip Holseter-Karlsen tied the match 3-3 for Norway in the 55th minute.
Midfielder Kellan LeBlanc, who came on in the 60th minute, scored the winner in the 90th minute. Overall, the U.S. outshot Norway 17-6 with 10 shots on target.
