Westfield is also in the middle of a strong campaign with the Union, right behind Sullivan with nine assists through 22 matches, starting in all of them. The 20-year-old has made 10 appearances for the U-20 MNT and competed at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
A new chapter has begun for the USMNT as the squad prepares for its first matches following the 2026 FIFA World Cup on home soil. Poised to begin his first full cycle after agreeing to a new contract earlier this summer, head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to continue to strengthen the player pool while giving a fresh wave of young talent a chance to train and compete alongside World Cup veterans.
That mindset is shown in the 28-player roster for the four international matches that features 13 uncapped players with an average age of 19 years and six months. Nearly all of these players have experience with the U.S. Youth National Teams and will be eligible for upcoming youth international tournaments, including the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles ahead of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Here’s a look at all 13 uncapped players who could potentially make their senior debut this camp:
After a short stint with the LA Galaxy Academy, Albert moved abroad to compete with German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund’s youth teams in 2024. The midfielder made his debut with the senior team earlier this year to become the youngest American to play in the Bundesliga, a feat previously held by USMNT forward Gio Reyna. Albert has competed with the U.S. Youth National Teams across various age groups, including at the 2025 U-17 FIFA World Cup and most recently with the U-19 squad in March of this year.
Coming through the Atlanta United Academy, Campbell moved to Iceland in 2020 and began his professional career there at just 15 years old. The forward competed for many clubs across Europe – including Dortmund with Albert – before joining recently promoted German Bundesliga side SV Elversberg this summer. Campbell previously represented Iceland at the youth level before switching to the United States, where he has competed with the U-19, U-20 and U-23 MNT.
Orlando City SC forward Justin Ellis could earn his first cap at his club’s home venue when the USMNT faces Peru at Inter.co Stadium on Sept. 26. Ellis is enjoying a strong campaign with the Lions where he has recorded three goals and 11 assists across all competitions. The 19-year-old Homegrown player won the Golden Boot and was named MLS NEXT MVP when Orlando won the Generation adidas Cup in 2025. He most recently competed with the U-19 MNT in a camp this June.
The 19-year-old wingback made headlines earlier this summer after signing with English Premier League side Crystal Palace after a stellar season with MLS’s Real Salt Lake where he had six goals, four assists and was named an MLS All-Star. The Utah native joined the Real Salt Lake Academy in 2021 and made his professional debut two years later at just 16 years old. Gozo has earned multiple USYNT call-ups among various age groups and was a part of the squads for the 2024 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and the 2025 U-20 World Cup.
Hall continues to break records this season as a young standout for Red Bull New York. In May, the forward became the youngest player in MLS history to record a hat trick and later became the second-youngest MLS All-Star selection in club history. He currently has a team-high 10 goals and four assists through 26 MLS games, adding three goals in the U.S Open Cup. Hall was also a part of the 2025 U-17 FIFA World Cup U.S. squad.
Kochen began his youth career in South Florida before moving abroad and progressing through FC Barcelona’s academy. He signed his first professional contract with the club in 2022 and stayed there until joining Danish club Lyngby Boldklub on loan this summer. Kochen has competed with the U.S. at the youth level for years, earning a 2022 U.S. Soccer Young Male Player of the Year nomination alongside roster teammates Chris Brady and Yunus Musah.
Alongside Hall at Red Bull New York is 17-year-old midfielder Adri Mehmeti, who has four assists and one goal in this first full season with the club. Mehmeti came through New York’s academy and has competed with its MLS NEXT Pro side since 2024. He previously represented Albania at the youth level before switching to the United States, where he has played with the U-15 MNT.
Fresh off a two-goal performance last weekend that earned him MLS Player of the Matchday honors, Miller joins the USMNT for his first senior call-up. The defender has seven goals and four assists in his third season with New England after becoming the youngest player in Revolution history to sign an MLS contract at 15 years old. Miller has recorded over 20 international caps at various age levels, including appearances at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup and the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Raines is competing in his first season with New England after spending the last four years with Houston Dynamo FC, winning the 2023 U.S. Open Cup with the latter. The midfielder has recorded one goal and two assists with the Revs and has logged 68 total MLS appearances, including 50 starts, at 21 years old. Raines has competed at various age groups for the U.S. Youth National Teams, including appearances at the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship and the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Coming off a strong 2025 season with Philadelphia Union II in MLS NEXT Pro where Pierre was named MLS NEXT Pro Defender of the Year, the 6-foot-7 center back has made an impact with the first team on both sides of the ball this year. He has scored four goals in just 10 MLS appearances this season, setting a new Union single-season record for goals by a defender. Pierre has also represented the U.S. at the U-17 and U-19 age groups.
Goalkeeper Brian Schwake is the only uncapped player on the roster with no U.S. Youth National Team experience, though the 25-year-old played abroad professionally for five years before signing with Nashville in 2025. That year, he made five starts in goal to lead Nashville SC to the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title. It helped solidify his starting position for this current MLS season, where Schwake became the first goalkeeper in club history to be named an MLS All-Star. He currently has 12 clean sheets and a 0.81 goals-against average this year as Nashville sits atop the league table.
Sullivan’s first senior call-up comes amid a record-breaking 2026 season with Philadelphia. The 16-year-old has a team-leading 12 assists (including secondary assists) through 24 matches, along with seven goals. He recently became the youngest player in league history to record a goal contribution in seven consecutive regular season matches. Sullivan has made 12 appearances with the U-17 MNT, including representingthe U.S. at the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
