EPISODE 8: Lori Lindsey

In this week’s episode of The U.S. Soccer Podcast, Jordan Angeli and Charlie Davies welcome former U.S. Women’s National Team midfielder and current NWSL, MLS and USL broadcast analyst Lori Lindsey to the show.

Lindsey, who also serves as an athlete representative on the U.S. Soccer Board of Directors, discusses Pride month, intersectionality and her own experiences coming out and competing as an LGBTQ+ athlete.

With the kickoff of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup coming up on Saturday, June 27, Lindsey – who will be calling all but two of the matches – also dives into the tournament ahead, providing insights on teams and players to watch as the competition gets underway in Utah.

Finally, Lindsey discusses her playing career, the coaches that most impacted her game, and how USWNT veterans like Mia Hamm inspired her to persevere.
