Weston McKennie is Second Youngest USMNT Player to Reach 100 Appearances in Europe’s Big Four Leagues

With his appearance in Juventus’s Serie A clash with Napoli on April 7, midfielder Weston McKennie became the second youngest U.S. Men’s National Team player to feature in 100 matches across Europe’s top four leagues.

McKennie reaches the century mark through a combination of his 25th Serie A appearance on Wednesday and the 75 Bundesliga matches he played with Schalke in the Bundesliga from 2017-2020.

At 22 years, 222 days, the FC Dallas Academy product comes in behind only USMNT teammate Christian Pulisic who achieved the same mark at 21 years, 66 days, combining his 10 English Premier League appearances with Chelsea with the 90 Bundesliga matches he played with Borussia Dortmund from 2016-2019.
