U.S. Soccer Reveals 16-Match Schedule for Second Round of 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup
Every Open Cup Match Moving Forward to Be Streamed Live on Paramount+



ATLANTA (March 20, 2026) – The schedule and matchups for the 16 contests comprising the Second Round of the 2026 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup have been announced by U.S. Soccer. The Second Round of U.S. Soccer’s national club championship is set to take place March 31-April 1, with all matches streaming live on Paramount+.
The Second Round contests feature the 32* clubs that prevailed in this week's First Round, which featured exclusively pro vs. amateur matchups. Clubs were paired geographically, with additional pairings made via random selection. Hosts were determined by random selection.
In addition to all matches streaming live on Paramount+, CBS Sports Network will air one game each night, while CBS Sports Golazo Network will feature one match on Tuesday and a doubleheader on Wednesday.
The action kicks off on CBS Sports Network Tuesday night as USL League Two side Asheville City SC reignites its Smoky Mountain Series rivalry with USL League One’s One Knoxville SC. Later that night, CBS Sports Golazo Network will feature the UPSL’s Valley 559 FC, who were drawn to host Open Cup mainstay Sacramento Republic FC of the USL Championship.
On Wednesday the all-Michigan matchup between Flint City Bucks and Detroit City FC will air on CBS Sports Golazo Network, while CBS Sports Network will feature the showdown between USL Championship side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and USL League One’s Spokane Velocity FC. The action concludes with Orange County SC hosting familiar foe, Phoenix Rising FC, on CBS Sports Golazo Network in the 38th all-time meeting between the two clubs, but first in Open Cup action.
*The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC vs. Steel City FC First Round match was postponed until March 25 due to weather. The winner will be placed in the schedule as outlined below.

The 16 teams that advance from the Second Round will be joined in the Round of 32 by the 16 MLS clubs that are competing in this year’s tournament. The draw for the Round of 32 and Round of 16, which will determine matchups and hosts for both rounds, will be aired live on CBS Sports Golazo Network’s “Morning Footy” at 9 a.m. ET. on April 2. The draw for the quarterfinals will take place following the Round of 16.
