- Christian Pulisic earns his 85th cap today, moving him into a tie with Frankie Hejduk and Bruce Murray at No. 22 on the USMNT’s all-time appearances list. Pulisic has 32 goals and 19 assists in his previous 84 appearances.
- Named the USMNT’s captain for the 2026 FIFA World Cup earlier this week, Tim Ream will wear the armband for the 28th time today and 18th time in 25 matches under Maurcio Pochettino.
- In his third season with Charlotte FC, Ream will also collect his 81st cap coming at his home club stadium, moving him into a tie with Desmond Armstrong, Thomas Dooley and DeAndre Yedlin for 28th on the USMNT’s all-time appearances list.
- Tyler Adams earns his first appearance since starting the 2-0 win against Japan on Sept. 9, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio.
- The youngest player on the World Cup roster, 21-year-old defender Alex Freeman will appear in his 15th consecutive match for the USMNT today. Freeman has missed only one game since making his debut on June 7, 2025, against Türkiye.
- Sergiño Dest collects his 38th cap, returning to the lineup after missing the March friendlies due to injury.
- Antonee Robinson makes his third-straight start for the USA after being out of action through all of 2025.
- Ricardo Pepi earns his first start since Nov. 18, 2024 vs. Jamaica in the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals.
- After coming off the bench in his last three appearances, Gio Reyna earns his first start since contributing a goal in the 2-1 win against Paraguay on Nov. 15, 2025 in Chester, Pa. Reyna has nine goals and six assists in 36 career appearances.
- Nearly a year to the date since he made his international debut, Sebastian Berhalter collects his 10th career start in his 12th overall appearance for the USMNT.
- Mark McKenzie and Tim Ream pair in central defense for the fifth time today. The USA is 3W-1L-0D when the duo start together on the backline.
- This is the USMNT’s second match at Bank of America Stadium and first since the 6-0 win against Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf Gold Cup group stage on July 2, 2023.
- Goalkeeper Matt Turner is the only starter in tonight’s match to play in that match, making three saves to keep the clean sheet. Turner has 27 shutouts in 53 career appearances since debuting on Jan. 31, 2021.
- This is the USMNT’s first-ever meeting with Senegal. The Lions of Teranga are the 10th different African opponent to face the USMNT.
