Max Arfsten (Columbus Crew vs. New York City FC) - The 25-year-old midfielder got the better of his U.S. Men’s National Team teammate, NYCFC goalkeeper Matt Freese, burying a second-half winner to lift Columbus to the Semifinals for the first time since 2010.
Artur (St. Louis CITY SC vs. Houston Dynamo FC) - The 30-year-old former Open Cup and MLS Cup winner scored his first goal of the season—just the eighth of his decorated professional career—with a long-range strike that sliced through a cluster of players in the box.
Emmanuel Latte Lath (Orlando City SC vs. Atlanta United FC) - Though the match in Orlando was all but decided, the Ivory Coast international smashed in a full-volleyed strike to record his first Open Cup goal and end Orlando’s clean sheet hopes.
Darren Yapi (Colorado Rapids vs. San Jose Earthquakes) - The U.S. Under-21 Men’s National Team forward tallied his first Open Cup goal, nodding in a 39th-minute winner to send Colorado to the Semifinals for the first time since 1999.
Matt Freese (Columbus Crew vs. New York City FC) - The World Cup-bound USMNT goalkeeper made a quick double save against Columbus in the first half—two of his seven saves on the evening.
Nico Hansen (Colorado Rapids vs. San Jose Earthquakes) - In a shutout victory against the San Jose Earthquakes, Hansen made the second of his six saves in the 13th minute, scrambling back to his line to parry away a potential Quakes opener.
Jayden Hibbert (Orlando City SC vs. Atlanta United FC) - Though it wasn’t the prettiest outing, the Canada national team prospect still made five stops on the day, including a quick reaction at his near post just before halftime.
Ben Lundt (St. Louis CITY SC vs. Houston Dynamo FC) - Forced into action following a Roman Bürki injury in the 26th minute, the 30-year-old German made an acrobatic save in extra time to help send the match into penalties.
