5 Things to Know About the USMNT March 2026 Roster
Antonee Robinson set to make first international appearance since 2024; Weston McKennie made USMNT debut in last matchup against Portugal

On Tuesday, U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Mauricio Pochettino named the 27-player roster for the upcoming March matches against European sides Belgium and Portugal.
The roster features a combination of experienced veterans with World Cup experience alongside newer players who earned their first USMNT caps less than a year ago. With just three months until the start of the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup on home soil, these matches are a huge opportunity for players to make their case to be on the stage for the roster reveal on May 26 in New York City.
Here are five things to know about the March 2026 roster:
Defender Antonee Robinson returns to the USMNT after missing the entirety of international duty in 2025 due to knee injury. Pochettino named Robinson to last October’s training camp roster, but the defender did not see minutes in the matches against Australia and Ecuador. He last suited up for the USMNT in November 2024 in the 4-2 victory against Jamaica in the 2024-25 Concacaf Nations League, where he played 90 minutes in his 50th international appearance.
The 2024 U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year started all 11 matches played that year, and he was in the starting lineup for the four USA fixtures in the 2022 FIFA Men’s World Cup. Now fully recovered from injury, Robinson has played in 17 games for Fulham this season, recently becoming just the seventh American to make 150 Premier League appearances.
Weston McKennie is the only player on the roster who has played against either Belgium or Portugal. The midfielder made his senior team debut against the Seleção das Quinas in 2017 when the sides last played to a 1-1 draw in Leiria, Portugal. Defender Tim Ream was an unused substitute in that match. McKennie opened the scoring with his first international goal in the 21st minute after he maneuvered around a defender inside the box and slotted his shot near post past the goalkeeper. At 19 years old, he became the third-youngest U.S. player in the modern era to score in his first cap.
Years later, McKennie could earn a rematch against the sixth-ranked team, this time on home soil. An appearance this month for McKennie would mark 10 consecutive years playing in at least one match for the USMNT, a feat no other player on the roster has achieved.
Ten players return to the squad who did not take part in the November 2025 camp: goalkeepers Matt Turner and Chris Brady, defenders Robinson and Chris Richards, midfielders McKennie, Johnny Cardoso andMalik Tillman, and forwards Patrick Agyemang, Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah.
This month is the first appearance for Richards after he was named 2025 U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year in January in his first year being nominated. Cardoso, Tillman and Agyemang last competed for the U.S. this past summer in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. It has been a year since McKennie and Weah last suited up in the 2025 CONCACAF Nations League.
In January, Pochettino adressed players and the public regarding roster selection ahead of the March camp.
“We are close to the World Cup,” he said. “It's true that it is going to be difficult to bring some new players, because we don't have time. We already assessed more than 70 players that we saw during the last year and a half. I think we have a very good idea.”
That notion is reflected in this roster as no uncapped field players made the cut; the only players who have yet to make their USMNT debuts are goalkeepers Roman Celentano and Chris Brady. This is Celentano’s sixth senior team call-up and Brady’s fourth. Both ‘keepers just began their 2026 MLS campaigns, with Celentano recording 17 saves and one clean sheet in four matches with FC Cincinnati and Brady tallying nine saves and two clean sheets in four appearances with Chicago Fire.
Belgium and Portugal are the final opponents for the U.S. before the 26 players are selected for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Ten players on this month’s roster are one call-up away from making back-to-back tournament appearances. Turner, Ream, Robinson, McKennie, Weah, Joe Scally, Brenden Aaronson, Cristian Roldan, Christian Pulisic and Gio Reyna were all a part of the 2022 USA squad.
Weah and Pulisic scored the two goals for the team in the group stage matches. The strikers started every match alongside Turner, Ream, Robinson and McKennie. Aaronson entered as a substitute in every match, while Reyna subbed in twice.
