Under-23s: Spencer was a second-half sub during the U-23 MNT's 3-0 loss to Brazil on Oct. 14, 2014...Under-20s: Though he did not earn a U-20 international cap in 2014, he did feature for the U-20s during their run to a runner-up finish at the 2014 Dallas Cup, scoring three goals at the tournament. He scored two goals in the opening 3-2 victory against River Plate on April 13 and a first-half goal during their 3-2 double-overtime victory in the semifinals against Fluminense on April 18...Under-18s: Spencer featured for the U-18 MNT in 2012.

In April 2013 he signed with Molde FK in Norway’s Tippeligaen...He made his professional debut in a 4-0 win over Valerenga on September 1, 2013…In March 2014 he joined North American Soccer League side Indy Eleven on loan, where scored two goals in 11 matches.

Spencer played for Real Salt Lake’s Development Academy at the Grande Sports Academy in Arizona in 2010-2011, where he scored 22 goals. He moved to Los Angeles in 2011 and joined Chivas USA’s Development Academy.
